Aircraft Oxygen Charging Unit

Part Number: 33007-100 (Standard Aircraft Oxygen Charging Unit)
(Other configurations available: 2, 4, or 6 oxygen cylinder setups)

Aircraft Oxygen Charging Unit

The Aircraft Oxygen Charging Unit is a robust, towable ground support system designed for the safe, accurate, and efficient charging of aircraft oxygen systems. Manufactured by Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII), this unit is built to service a wide range of military, commercial, and general aviation aircraft, providing portable, high-pressure oxygen delivery for critical onboard systems.

The system consists of a welded steel chassis that houses up to six high-pressure oxygen cylinders, typically rated up to 3000 PSI. The unit features a fully integrated control manifold with dual-stage oxygen-rated pressure regulators, oxygen-compatible high-pressure hoses, quick-connect fittings, and analog pressure gauges for monitoring and control. Every component is constructed from materials that meet stringent oxygen cleanliness and compatibility standards—including stainless steel tubing and seals designed specifically for use with high-purity gaseous oxygen.

A gas booster (optional) can be included in the design to enable efficient use of residual oxygen pressure within the cylinders—allowing for continued service delivery even when supply pressures fall below operating thresholds. This makes the cart suitable for both standard maintenance operations and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) emergencies.

The unit incorporates grounding reels, static discharge connections, and safety relief valves to mitigate ignition and overpressure risks. The ergonomic layout and towable frame allow for ease of transport across airport ramps or within hangars, while optional weather-resistant enclosures ensure year-round operational readiness.

Applications:

  • Oxygen System Refill – Charges gaseous oxygen into onboard crew and passenger systems.

  • AOG Servicing – Rapid deployment for emergency refills following oxygen system use.

  • Scheduled Maintenance Support – Ensures oxygen system integrity during regular servicing intervals.

  • Pre-Flight Checks – Supplies oxygen for test and top-off procedures before dispatch.
